Join us as the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club marks a historic milestone — our 200th anniversary — with the RSYC Bicentennial Charity Gala Dinner on 7 February 2026.
Founded in 1826, RSYC is Singapore’s oldest club and the first yacht club in Asia. From our beginnings as an exclusive sailing club with modest facilities, we have grown into an inclusive institution that proudly preserves our maritime heritage while championing public engagement in sea sports.
We are honoured to welcome our Patron, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, as Guest of Honour for this landmark celebration. We are also privileged to host Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for Education, MP for West Coast–Jurong West GRC, and an esteemed Honorary Member of RSYC.
This Gala Dinner is not only a commemoration of our Bicentennial, but also a meaningful initiative in support of The President’s Challenge — a national movement launched in 2000 by our former Patron, the late President S R Nathan, to foster a more caring and cohesive society.
