REDUCTION OF MARINA DRY BERTH OPERATIONS DUE TO COVID-19 CASE
Dear Boaters,
Due to the recent COVID-19 situation within our Club, we are left with no choice but to announce the temporary reduction of Marina Dry Berth Operations to Saturdays and Sundays only until further notice. 2/3 of our workforce are now in quarantine and close contact tracing by MOH is ongoing. Regrettably, attempting to sustain normal dry berth operations at this point would impose unacceptable safety and health risks on our remaining manpower.
Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of all, we will be limiting our Marina Dry Berth Operations to Saturdays and Sundays only, effective from Monday, 24 May 2021 till further notice. This notice will supersede the earlier notice “IMPACT ON CLUB OPERATIONS DUE TO COVID-19 CASE” issued on 22 May 2021 to all Members.
Boaters are encouraged to submit their launch and recovery requests early during this period. Due to the lack of a tow boat operator, owners must be present and prepared without exception to take over their boat immediately at launch AND to skipper their boat back to the fuel dock at their scheduled recovery time.
Dry Berth Boaters may approach the Marina Manager if they wish to keep their boats in the water during this period and such requests may/may not be granted depending on wet berth availability. Normal Marina Operations will resume only when the requisite manpower is restored.
Our remaining Marine Team is committed to serving our Members to the best of their ability during this period. Please give them your support.
These are difficult times for all of us and, while disappointment and frustration amongst our Membership is understood and warranted, abuse of RSYC staff will not be tolerated.
We seek your kind understanding and cooperation to ensure the health and wellbeing of all our Staff and Members.
Sincerely,
RSYC Committee and Management
