IMPLEMENTATION OF FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM AT MALE CHANGING ROOM
RSYC will be implementing facial recognition access control system at the Male Changing Room with effect from 15th March 2024. This will enhance security measures and reinforce the exclusivity of your Club experience and protect your membership interests.
In the event that a member encounters an entry issue with the facial recognition system, please submit a softcopy of your picture and email to membership@rsyc.org.sg. This proactive measure will allow us to update our database promptly and ensure uninterrupted access.
We will progressively implement the facial recognition access control system at the Ladies Changing Room and Chart Room in the future.

Trial Period for Pets at RSYC Foreshore’s Smoking Corner – Effective March 1, 2024
Dear Members,
Starting from 1st March 2024, we are implementing a 3-month trial period allowing pets at the Gate A Meeting Point and RSYC Foreshore’s smoking corner. However, pets remain strictly prohibited within the Clubhouse, including the Wharf, at all times. To access the Foreshore, pet owners are required to use the back-of-the-house walkway.
We kindly ask that pet owners keep their pets leashed or in a carrier and clean up after them. Inconsiderate behavior may lead to a reconsideration of this decision.

IMPLEMENTATION OF FACIAL RECOGNITION ACCESS CONTROL AT THE GYM WITH EFFECT FROM 1ST FEBRUARY 2024
RSYC will be implementing facial recognition access control system at the gym with effect from 1st February 2024. This will enhance security measures and reinforce the exclusivity of your Club experience and protect your membership interests.
In order to seamlessly implement this system, we kindly request you to ensure that the Membership department has your most recent photographs, as well as those of your spouse, securely stored in our database. These images will play a pivotal role in facilitating smooth and secure access to the gym, adding an extra layer of security.
In the event that a member encounters an entry issue with the facial recognition system, please promptly approach our front office to submit a softcopy of your picture or email your picture to membership@rsyc.org.sg. This proactive measure will allow us to update our database promptly and ensure uninterrupted access.
For members bringing in their guests to the gym, please do sign in and pay at the front office before proceeding to the gym. Each member is allowed to bring in two guests, with a charge of $10.90 per entry for each guest.

2024 New Year Message from Commodore
Happy New Year to each and every one of you.
As we embrace the dawn of 2024, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our members who actively participated in the specially planned events in 2023. The overwhelming support witnessed encourages us, and we eagerly anticipate your continued engagement in the diverse events planned for the new year, all of which the management team is diligently working to enhance and make more inclusive for our esteemed members.
On the infrastructure front, I am delighted to report that the pontoon upgrading is nearing completion, promising both visible and financial benefits for our club. Upon its completion, we will set our sights on the next significant project—the comprehensive upgrading of our entire club. Details of this exciting venture will be shared with you as soon as the committee finalizes the preliminary plans.
Our club will be working closely with relevant authorities on the lease extension, a critical aspect that aligns with our upgrading plans. As we eagerly anticipate the lease extension details, rest assured that the information will be promptly shared with our members.
In three years, our club will mark its bicentennial, a remarkable milestone that calls for a grand celebration. If our lease extension comes to fruition, this occasion will undoubtedly be a joyous and momentous event.
As we anticipate these exciting forthcoming events, it is important that we plan meticulously to ensure their success. The committee and I are wholeheartedly committed to steering the club with dedication, ensuring that our facilities, events, and services not only meet but exceed the expectations of a premier club.

IMPLEMENTATION OF CREDIT LIMIT
RSYC will be introducing a Credit Limit to all members with effect from 1st January 2024. This credit limit will apply to all transactions charged to your member account within the club.
Your allocated credit limit is carefully tailored to match your spending habits at RSYC. This personalized approach ensures that your financial capacity aligns seamlessly with your consumption, promoting responsible spending within the club. In the event that you exceed your allocated credit limit, please rest assured that you can still enjoy all the amenities and services RSYC offers by making payments through your credit card.
If you believe that you require a higher credit limit to better accommodate your needs, please write in the finance team to request for a credit limit adjustment and we will be delighted to review your request. We believe that this new system will help foster financial responsibility among our members.
Please take a moment to review your allocated credit limit in the January 2024 statement. We greatly appreciate your continued support and loyalty to RSYC.

Monthly Fee for Printed Statement of Account (SOA)
Monthly Fee for Printed Statement of Account (SOA)
From 1 October 2023, the Club will levy a $3 monthly fee on members who wish to continue to have a printed copy of their SOA mailed to them. Any ad hoc requests for a printed copy of the SOA will also be subject to the fee.
All Members will automatically be enrolled in our electronic SOA scheme. Please ensure that you have a valid email address registered with the Club.

Direct access to 12 months of SOAs is available to members.

IMPLEMENTATION OF E-STATEMENT
IMPLEMENTATION OF E-STATEMENT
As per the Club’s initiative to go green and be more sustainable, the Club will be implementing e-Statement which means that the Statement of Accounts will be sent directly to your email address.
Starting from October 1st, the Club will begin sending out Statements of Accounts to members electronically via email. This means that paper statements will no longer be automatically mailed to members. While the default mode will be e-statements, members who still prefer to receive paper statements can do so by making a request to the Club. However, a nominal fee will be imposed for providing paper statements. The shift to e-statements is intended to make it more convenient for members to access and review their statements at any time. Additionally, past statements will be easily retrievable through the Member Portal on the Club’s website.
To facilitate a smooth transition, a trial period for e-Statement implementation will take place in the first week of September. During this trial, members will receive both a hard copy Statement of Accounts and a soft copy via email. If a member doesn’t receive the soft copy statement via email, they are required to provide their email address to Membership department at membership@rsyc.
